Karen is currently in her third year of Chemical Engineering with a minor in Petroleum Engineering. From her past involvement with PES as a student member, she believes exposure to the petroleum and energy industry is beneficial for every single student. Over the past summer, Karen was a research student in the Chemical Engineering Department working in the Polymer Processing Group at the University of Calgary. Karen has also been involved with the Chemical Engineering Student Society, Engineers Without Borders, and Step Forward at the university.
